TONGARIRO JUNIORS
A fun, open race day for skiers and boarders under 18.
UNFORTUNATELY THE 2026 TONGARIRO JUNIORS HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW CONDITIONS
The Tongariro Juniors alpine race is one of the best things about the club. It's a relaxed, family‑friendly race day open to all young skiers and boarders under 18.
Whether you’re racing for the first time or returning to beat last year’s time, the event is designed to be welcoming, encouraging, and full of mountain energy.
Racing is typically held in The Valley, followed by a prizegiving and BBQ at the Tongariro Ski Club Whakapapa lodge.
Registration and enquires can be sent to juniors@tongariroski.co.nz
2026 JUNIORS RACE IS CANCELLED
Unfortunately we have had to make the decision to cancel the Tongariro Juniors race next Saturday 26th September.
While there is still great Spring skiing to be had on the mountain, there is not enough snow to take out one of the main runs and have a race course.
We look forward to seeing you all for next year's event!
