First Days of 2009 Skiing at Turoa

Wow! After some ugly weather on Saturday 20 June (Opening Day), Turoa laid on the best June skiing we've had for years.
Blue skies and good snow cover were the order for most of the week.
There were patches of wind-blown light soft snow, a few 'death cookies', but great skiing on the High Noon Express and High Flier - and not too bony to ski down Clarry's track all the way to the bottom.
Rug up - the wind is fierce, but the skiing's great.
